The Story of Ruth: From Emptiness to Fullness
A 4-Week Study on Loyalty, Kindness, and the Kinsman Redeemer
Welcome to The Gospel Resources Hub series on the Book of Ruth. These four lessons follow Ruth and Naomi from the sadness of a foreign land to the joyful harvest fields of Bethlehem. Children will see how God uses the kindness of Boaz and the faithfulness of a young widow to preserve the family line that leads directly to King David and our Great Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

The goal of this series is to show how God’s sovereignty works through ordinary events and people to fulfill His Redemptive Plan. We aim to build Biblical Literacy by connecting this historical account to the larger story of the Bible.
- Explore God's Providence: We teach children that even when life feels "bitter" or empty, God is working behind the scenes to provide for His people in ways they cannot yet see.
- Value Loyal Character: We highlight Ruth's choice to stay by Naomi's side and Boaz's kindness to a foreigner as reflections of God's own heart toward us.
- Connect to the Redeemer: We specifically identify Boaz as a Kinsman Redeemer to show how his protection of Ruth serves as a beautiful picture of what Jesus does for us.
- Foster Practical Faith: Through our "So What" applications, we help kids see how simple choices to be kind and faithful are rewarded by God and can even change the world.
